Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) for Product Quality – Reduced-Risk Products

Your job mission:
Are you passionate about driving quality excellence in the innovative field of oral products such as Snus, Nicotine Pouch and Emerging Products? Join our team in Trier, Germany, and become a key role in ensuring the highest quality for JTI's oral product portfolio. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional who will establish and enhance quality assurance standards, oversee QA activities in New Product Development, and implement Quality Management System (QMS) procedures for product development and manufacturing. Additionally, you will conduct audits to ensure adherence to QMS requirements and drive improvements via CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) coordination.
- Product Quality Standards and Programs: Establish and continuously improve quality assurance standards and programs such as stability study quality standards for new product developments and product rejuvenations etc. based on a given framework, regulatory requirements and consumers voice, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- New Product Developments: Manage all defined quality assurance activities within New Product Development (NPD) projects and collaborate with the teams in QA, Product Development, and other relevant functions, to e.g perform product and process risk assessment, define quality standards and validate product performance.
- Quality Management System (QMS) and Audits: Design, maintain and improve policies and procedures related to global product development activities and implement the global requirements with Product Development Teams. Conduct periodical audits with Product Development teams to validate adherence to the QMS requirements & identify improvement areas including CAPA follow-up.
- Deviation and CAPA management: Manage product and process deviations, communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, and coordinate the escalation and root cause analysis and subsequent improvement activities. Initiate updates to standards and programs based on findings including change control.
- Relevant educational background: university degree in a technical or scientific field, such as Chemistry / Physics / Environmental Engineering / Food Technology or comparable studies
- Practical experience: min. 3 years of professional experience, ideally in Tobacco industry (QA / R&D / GSC / New Product Development) or FMCG industry (e.g. Food / Pharma / Cosmetics)
- Valuable knowledge: working experience in regulated environments, excellent knowledge in quality assurance and quality management, experience in managing non-conformities, audit experience, fluent in English (written and spoken), advanced skills in MS Office, experience with SAP R/3, proficiency in data analysis techniques and statistics
- Special strengths: profound project management skills, knowledge of quality programs or standards and understanding of quality aspects in product development
- Suitable personality: highly organized and structured working style, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, willingness to travel
- Practiced working time model: flextime, possibility of 50 % mobile office work within Germany on a monthly basis
