Your key responsibilities:

  • Supports management and deployment of the pricing strategy for the Firm in line with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensures that pricing strategies adhere to regulatory requirements, internal profitability expectations and internal pricing policy, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participates in Global Fee Deal negotiations, establishing and receiving agreement from Client Partners on opening, acceptable and fall-back positions.
  • Delivers pricing recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders, reflecting competitive and commercial considerations to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Oversees quantitative analysis and modelling projects to derive insights that inform pricing decisions depending on the risk profile/market expectations in place.
  • Drives and enhances the pricing process to meet business requirements, including both lawyer and Business Teams training, reporting processes and monitoring of pricing performance.
  • Oversees reporting structures to monitor pricing performance including in an automated fashion, and manages pricing research projects to improve understanding of key risk/profitability drivers.
  • Creates commercial strategies with business stakeholders to assist with meeting internal margin targets through active engagement.
  • Drives pricing market cadence by analysing and reporting on competitive intelligence in the legal industry, and evolving best practice incorporation of AI and technology into fee arrangements.
  • Leads a high-performing team, developing and implementing team goals and providing guidance to enhance team performance.


Your experience:

  • 5+ years experience as a team leader in a finance pricing function within a global professional services or corporate environment, preferably in the legal sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing team delivering high-quality accounting and audit activities, and work with payroll function.
  • Track record of participating in Global Fee Dealing negotiations, and analysing and reporting on competitive intelligence in the legal industry to improve understanding of key risk/profitability drivers.
