We are looking for a Pre-doctoral
Research Associate in Applied Microeconomics (gn)
The successful candidate will work with Egon Tripodi. The position is for 25-30 hours per week and provides sufficient time to further advance the applicant's own research agenda. The candidate will be encouraged to attend research seminars in Applied Micro, Behavioral and Experimental Economics. The position is initially for one year but could be extended for a second year, depending on interest and performance. The position is best suited for students that have completed their pre-doctoral education and would like to pursue a competitive PhD in Economics after gaining more research experience. The position also provides support and mentorship to the associate toward a successful academic career. Starting date: Flexible, but ideally 1st June 2026.
- Literature reviews
- Writing reports
- Data management and analysis
- Support in the design and implementation of online/lab/field experiments
- Interactions with research partners (NGOs, firms, government, etc.)
- A completed Master's degree in economics, statistics, computer science, or related fields is expected by the starting date of the appointment
- Promising candidates with a Bachelor's degree will be offered more contractual hours and further academic training
- Some previous experience using either Stata, R, or other statistical software
- Previous experience or willingness to learn programming languages such as Python and Javascript, and markup languages such as HTML
