OEM Approval & Relationship Specialist (m/f/d)

As Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Approvals & Relationship Specialist you will provide access to and develop relationships with technical & commercial departments of the industrial machine tool manufacturers (MTMs), OEMs & Tier 1+ suppliers to obtain product approvals and gain insights, technical knowledge (customer requirements) and information on trends regarding current & future requirements regarding products, approvals and processes. As part of developing the relationship with key OEMs, you will focus on building partnerships and extending the relationship to become a solution provider beyond lubricants.
- Developing and maintaining the relationships with focus OEM key stakeholders (application engineers, process & commercial managers) to develop insights into the OEMs needs and proactively identify opportunities to work with the OEMs in support of the industrial strategy.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of industry trends to inform strategy, identify business development opportunities and target product development – underpinning growth targets and brand strategies.
- Secure and maintain differentiating recommendations, endorsements and approvals from OEMs for industrial products and services as required to support strategy, maintain competitive positioning and underpin growth.
- Identify and develop strategic collaborations with the OEMs in collaboration with the required internal stakeholders (marketing/technology/sales) to support development of differentiated offers and solutions with and beyond lubricants to generate incremental gross margin.
- Ensure effective connection between the OEM activities and the ODI process, providing clear insights and opportunity sets as input to the ODI process.
- Work closely with global account management & transnational account teams to secure & maintain strategic approvals for partner OEM's and identify new commercial opportunities.
- Will also be responsible for any other product management and marketing support as requested from time to time.
- Liaise with various cross-functional teams (marketing/technology/sales) to support development of products and value-added offers based on insights gained.
- Science / Engineering degree is preferred
- Good understanding of industrial lubricant products, applications and industrial processes, focus on metal working fluids
- Excellent marketing experience and understanding
- Strong customer-facing, relationship management and negotiating experience
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Strategic thinking skills
- Fluent in German and English
