As a Strategic Program Manager in the Digital Solution Accelerator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our digital customer interfaces. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that build innovative capabilities across our digital channels – including gated areas, product configurators, help and self-service functionalities – all with the overarching goal of significantly improving the customer experience. The Digital Solution Accelerator team plays a central role in advancing our customer experience strategy by developing, exploring, and validating new digital features in an agile environment. These solutions are tested in close cooperation with our global teams to ensure they are aligned with customer needs before being scaled across our platforms. You will act as a bridge between business functions, IT, and external partners. With your strong communication skills, creative mindset, and structured approach, you will ensure the seamless delivery of forward-thinking digital projects that support our customer and business needs. This position is initially designed as an individual contributor role with the perspective to grow into a leadership position as the team evolves. You will collaborate closely with our most important global markets, including the USA, China, and key European countries, to ensure alignment and effective implementation. You will also help shape and work alongside a growing cross-functional team consisting of UX Designers, UX Researchers, AI Experts, and other specialists who are jointly redefining how we interact with customers in the digital space.

You will:

  • Lead a strategic customer experience program that creates new capabilities across ZEISS customer-facing channels, involving collaboration with multiple internal teams and delivery partners across the globe

  • Collaborate closely with IT, Marketing, Sales, Service and external vendors to align goals and ensure successful delivery

  • Translate business needs into innovative, user-centered digital solutions

  • Develop and communicate a compelling vision for future digital experiences

  • Ensure efficient project execution including planning, budgeting, and stakeholder communication

  • Foster collaboration and agile methodologies within cross-functional teams

  • Establish effective collaboration with key global markets to ensure local relevance and global scalability

  • Guide the team in uncovering customer expectations and aligning them with internal strategic goals


  • A bachelors degree in business, computer science, digital media, or a related field

  • Several years of experience in digital project or program management, preferably in a complex, international environments

  • Strong understanding of digital platforms and tools (e.g., CMS, CRM, marketing automation, analytics)

  • Experience working with or managing cross-functional teams in UX, AI, or digital marketing is a plus

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A high level of creativity and initiative to drive innovation, paired with a pragmatic mindset and the ability to think outside the box to solve challenges effectively

  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
