Global Category Manager IT Software (m/f/d)


  • You will collaborate with leading software companies worldwide to develop innovative procurement strategies
  • Managing material groups and global IT software projects ensures seamless operations and alignment with business goals
  • Using market intelligence, you will analyze global markets and identify procurement networks, suppliers, and service providers
  • In close coordination with the Head of GCM Indirect Materials and Procurement Excellence, a key focus will be the development and execution of Knauf's global category strategy for IT software
  • Your role will include standardizing and optimizing processes for demand specification, supplier evaluation, and risk mitigation while promoting continuous improvement



  • You possess a degree in IT, economics, procurement, or a related field provides a solid foundation for your professional success
  • Strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of relevant markets and suppliers are required to set a clear standard of excellence
  • You bring a wealth of knowledge to the table by leveraging your expertise in sourcing, procurement, and category management for IT software
  • A team-oriented mindset and a winning attitude, which thrive in collaborative environments, serve as a source of inspiration for others
  • Your proficiency in SAP, digital procurement tools, and intercultural communication enables you to excel in connecting across diverse teams and stakeholders
