As Head (f/m/d) of the Parent Seed Department, you will take on a key role in organizing and ensuring the production of base and trial seed for maize. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Einbeck.
Your Responsibilities
In this position, you will lead an interdisciplinary team and take on the following tasks:
- Management and further development of an interdisciplinary team in a matrix organization.
- Organize and ensure the production of base, pre-basic, and trial seed for maize.
- Coordinate line research, maintenance breeding, and registration processes.
- Collaborate closely with maize breeders and maize production teams to ensure smooth information and material flow.
- Take on project responsibilities in day-to-day operations.
- Completed university degree (Master or PhD) in Agricultural Sciences, Plant Breeding, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in seed production or breeding, ideally in maize.
- Leadership experience in international, interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Very good English language knowledge is a mandatory for this position. Good knowledge of German language or the willingness to learn German is pre-required. Knowledge of French or Spanish language is a big plus.
- Willingness to travel approx. 30–40%.
