Stellenbezeichnung: Expert Customs Compliance (m/f/d) - Hybrid Option GER

In our Customs EMEA unit, you build up knowledge and analyse new laws, regulations and agreements for your respective region.

  • You increase transparency on new laws, regulations, and customs agreements as well as initiate and define regional binding GB Guidelines to ensure adherence to customs requirements and legislation.
  • You proactively engage with Customs Communities of Practice to ensure globally defined processes are followed. Moreover you conduct regional knowledge transfer to Customs Communities of Practice.
  • You perform initial risk assessments based on the globally aligned structure and follow up yearly within the BASF Customs Internal Control System.
  • In addition, you closely align activities with the Process Design Team to implement necessary changes in the process landscape.
  • You collaborate with the Customs Audit & Legal Advisory Team to ensure compliance and reporting to BASF Corporate Center and local customs authorities.
  • You proactively monitor court decisions, translate them into BASF business needs, and act as a project coordinator for customs-related initiatives.
  • At least, you analyze internal and external customs data, present it in a visual, standardized format, and provide training to Customs Custodians in the EMEA region.

  • bachelor degree in Foreign Trade, Commercial or Logistics studies
  • several years of professional experience in Customs and Trade or Supply Chain Operations and good knowledge of import/export processes
  • effective communication in German and English as well as presentation and consulting skills
  • assertiveness and a drive to achieve joint success and fulfil the needs of service recipients
  • ideally knowledge of Power BI
  • knowledge of SAP GTS, SAP R/3 & S4 HANA is a plus

  • Gross annual salary (full-time): 65.000 € - 69.000 €, depending on qualifications and professional experience
