Portfolio & Product Manager (m/w/d)

Join a rapidly evolving, family-owned company operating across 120 markets on an exciting growth journey. We're seeking a commercially savvy Portfolio & Product Manager to elevate our portfolio strategy and proactively manage the full product lifecycle in our core cluster East Europe & CIS countries. Reporting to the Commercial Director of the cluster, you will lead market data analysis, portfolio recommendations and provide input and guidance to boost profitability and share performance. This is a role with direct influence on shaping strategic direction and driving success across a key cluster of markets for the von Eicken group.

This role requires a blend of CPG portfolio / product management, analytical skills, commercial acumen and a cross-functional project and stakeholder management. We are after a team player with a talent for converting data into actionable insights and viable commercial opportunities, as well as a passion for sharing knowledge within the team and external partners.


Portfolio & Category Management: Support the development and execution of product portfolio strategies across tobacco categories and markets in East Europe & CIS markets. Oversee and manage the full product lifecycle, from launch to discontinuation, ensuring compliance and profitability.

Product Development & Innovation: Lead regional implementation of new and existing product initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adapt products to local consumer needs, manage packaging updates, and ensure market-specific compliance.

Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity using syndicated data sources. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product and commercial strategies.

Commercial Support: Contribute to sales forecasting, promotional planning, and portfolio activation across various trade channels. Work closely with commercial teams to support portfolio performance and operational efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet local regulatory requirements. Coordinate regulatory-driven changes in partnership with local teams and operations.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key liaison for portfolio matters, aligning with Commercial, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Operations teams to drive cohesive execution.


Education & Work Experience: B.A. plus 3 - 6 years of relevant work experience (Commercial or Marketing) in a FMCG / CPG environment.

Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret market insights and financial metrics to drive portfolio decisions. Solid understanding of P&L and commercial strategy. Experience in Tobacco or CPG sectors in East Europe/CIS is a strong plus.

Portfolio & Project Management: Proven experience managing product portfolios and leading cross-functional projects independently, balancing short-term execution with long-term strategy.

Cross-Cultural Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across diverse functions and geographies. Skilled in stakeholder management within a matrix organization.

Mindset & Execution: Detail-oriented, organized, and hands-on. Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in managing complexity. Demonstrates ownership and strong cross-functional project management skills.

Language Skills: Fluent in German and English. Russian would be beneficial.
