The Strategic Business Unit Microsurgery (MCS) at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG is searching for a Post Merger Integrations (PMI) Manager withing the Business Development department. Your main task will be managing MCS' PMI projects while also supporting other business development activities and strategic projects. First responsibility will be the successful completion of an active PMI project in the US.

  • PMI project management

  • owning the end-to-end responsibility for successful integration

  • steering, alignment, and working hand-in-hand with all functions and stakeholders involved in the PMI process

  • regular reporting to stakeholders

  • “on-the-ground” PMI work and support where needed

  • depending on PMI workload additional Business Development task that are mainly focusing on strategic projects or “external” activities (e.g., strategic partnership negotiation and management, opportunity evaluations)


  • practical experience in PMI, M&A-projects, business development, and/or project management

  • professional experience in managing complex strategic projects, M&A, strategic partnership management a plus

  • professional experience in business development a plus

  • experience within the medical technology industry and/or working in a larger multi-national corporation a plus

  • strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse and interdisciplinary teams

  • willingness to travel internationally depending on PMI needs

  • ability to work independently

  • a degree with excellent grades in natural sciences, medicine, healthcare, engineering, or economics. PhD or MBA a plus

  • fluent English skills, German a plus
