The Business Development Manager at Uzin Utz plays a vital role in cultivating and sustaining strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the construction and flooring sectors, including owners, operators, architects, planners, developers, and general contractors. This position ensures that Uzin Utz's solutions are integrated throughout all phases of the building lifecycle, from early planning to project completion and ongoing maintenance, positioning the company as a trusted partner.Additionally, the Business Development Manager will coordinate with developers, subcontractors, and the brand sales team to ensure seamless project execution and foster ongoing business growth. By enhancing market access and engaging in early-stage planning, the manager will contribute to follow-up business and fortify the company's presence in large-scale construction projects. This collaborative approach ensures sustained success, long-term client retention, and alignment with the company's overall business development objectives.

Your tasks:

  • Early Client Engagement and Needs Assessment: Engage early with clients during the planning phase to assess project needs, identify unique requirements, and deliver tailored solutions that align Uzin Utz products with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key clients, including owners, operators, architects, planners, and developers, ensuring Uzin Utz is regarded as a trusted partner throughout all stages of the building and flooring project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration with Professionals: Collaborate with architects, planners, and developers to create customized specifications for Uzin Utz flooring systems, ensuring compliance with technical, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.
  • Integration of Digital Tools: Leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital tools to integrate Uzin Utz products into digital planning workflows, ensuring accurate specifications and seamless project execution.
  • Support for the Sales Team: Support the sales team by providing access to key construction projects and ensuring Uzin Utz products are incorporated into tenders from the early stages of planning.
  • Facilitate seamless transitions between project phases and ensure long-term client retention by aligning strategic decisions with customer needs, ensuring Uzin Utz is seen as a reliable, long-term partner in both the design and operational phases of the building lifecycle.
  • Client Retention and Follow-up: After project completion, maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, offer support, and identify opportunities for follow-up business and future collaborations.
  • Market Observation and Business Development: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities within the local market and actively seek to expand Uzin Utz's presence and market share in the construction and flooring sectors.
  • Product Presentations and Training: Organize and deliver product presentations and demonstrations to key clients, showcasing the benefits and value propositions of Uzin Utz products tailored to their specific projects.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Manage risks related to client contracts and market changes while ensuring all activities comply with industry standards thorugh out all of the Project phases.
  • Regularly update CRM and senior management on business development activities, project status, and key performance metrics, providing insights into market trends and potential risks or opportunities.

  • Market and Business Understanding: Expertise & experience in the construction chemicals sector and flooring markets, with a focus on new market development.
  • Strategic Thinking: A deep understanding of how different parts of the organisation interact and the ability to adopt a long-term perspective with an entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Commercial Knowledge: A comprehensive expertise in commercial operations is required, including the ability to master all stages of the sales process and collaborate with stakeholders to establish business principles and KPIs.
  • Relationship Building: The ability to develop strong relationships with potential partners and prospects is essential for long-term business development.
  • Methodological Competence: A deep understanding of project processes and change management, along with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: The ability to conduct successful negotiations to secure resources, support, and alignments within a matrix structure.
  • Project Management and Collaboration: A willingness to compromise and work in diverse global teams is required to achieve common goals and maximize synergies.
  • Communication, Interpersonal & Intercultural Skills: Clear communication across various organizational levels is necessary, as well as strong interpersonal and intercultural competencies, including proficient written and spoken English, to build and maintain trusting relationships.
