About the role
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Accounting to join our team in Ingelheim. In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial accounting and reporting for Weber Germany. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable), manage statutory and group reporting, ensure tax compliance, and coordinate audits with both internal and external auditors. The role reports directly to the SVP, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Weber US HQ, and partners closely with local and global business stakeholders.
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations across Weber Germany (G/L, A/R, A/P)
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in accordance with US GAAP and German GAAP (HGB)
- Manage account reconciliations and ensure compliance with Weber's global accounting standards and reporting policies
- Oversee timely collection of receivables and payment of payables in line with procurement processes
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements and manage external audits (EY)
- Ensure full tax compliance, including VAT, corporate income tax, and social security filings
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury processes in coordination with global treasury teams
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations across group entities
- Drive implementation of internal controls and ensure ongoing audit readiness
- Partner with FP&A on planning, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Lead or support ERP integration and process automation initiatives
- Provide financial insights to support business and operational decision-making
- Attract, develop, and retain local accounting staff
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
- 10–15 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and German accounting standards (HGB)
- Strong knowledge of German tax regulations
- Proven experience in statutory reporting, audits, and compliance
- Demonstrated success in business process improvements and efficiencies
- Strong ERP experience, ideally SAP S/4 Hana
- Excellent Excel skills and strong data management capability
- Fluent in both English and German
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
