Job Description
We are looking for a
Student Research Assistant - Reconfiguring Europe (gn)
part-time (10hrs/week), starting in November 2025. The successful candidate will work at the Hertie School's Jacques Delors Centre in the Coordination Project of the DFG-funded Research Unit Reconfiguring Europe and help with the establishment of a dataset on the EU's administrative, coercive, fiscal and material resources as well as support the group's general work. The contract is initially limited to three months, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and project needs.
- Assistance in the establishment of a dataset on EU resources
- Bibliographic research on existing relavant datasets, their setup and use
- Bibliographic research on types and uses of EU resources
- Data gathering and coding for the dataset at a later stage
- Assistance in administrative tasks of the Research Unit
- Currently enrolled at a German university and studying a relevant field such as political science, European studies, international relations or public policy
- A completed Bachelor's degree with very good grades
- Excellent English and German (written and spoken)
- Strong interest and knowledge in research and research methods
- Good knowledge of the EU is an asset
