The Director Cyber Defence (m/f/d) leads global capabilities for threat detection, incident response, threat & vulnerability management (TVM), and cyber threat intelligence (CTI). Working closely with the Head of Information and Cyber Security, the role ensures the organization can effectively prepare for, detect, and respond to cyber threats through world-class people, processes, and technologies.
- Lead and manage Exyte Cyber Defence strategy and function incl. MDR / SOC operations, threat hunting, incident response, and crisis simulation exercises.
- Lead the global TVM program, driving prioritized, risk-based remediation.
- Lead the CTI function to deliver strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence.
- Lead and manage services (e.g., MDR, IR retainer, CTI feeds) and ensure SLA performance.
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity domains including CERT, SOC, Incident Response, Threat & Vulnerability Management, CTI, and Digital Forensics.
- Proven track record managing complex, high-stakes security incidents across the full response lifecycle.
- Skilled in leading and mentoring diverse global teams, with strong stakeholder and partner collaboration.
- Holding a university degree and certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCTI, CISA, or CISSP.
- Extensive experience developing and enhancing Cyber Defence programs in global organizations.
- Deep knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, Cyber Defence Matrix, and familiarity with MDR/XDR, SIEM, CTI tools, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present risk and response strategies to executive and board-level audiences, while staying composed under pressure.
