Act as the main link between business unit strategy and senior management of the ZEISS Photonics & Optics (PNO), and the ZEISS group strategy

Collaborate with Executive Board members and business unit management to shape the strategic direction of the business and the ZEISS group

Provide thought leadership on business and corporate strategy

Independently scope and structure complex projects setting the right priorities

Lead strategic initiatives – often cross-functional, e.g. in collaboration with the innovation ecosystem of ZEISS, and involving external partners – such as venture and M&A strategies or identifying new business fields

Co-drive the ZEISS group strategy process

Ensure the business unit perspective is reflected in corporate strategy

Engage stakeholders at all levels, including the Executive Board, and present clear recommendations

A degree with excellent grades in natural sciences, engineering or business

At least 5 years' experience in top management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar fast-paced strategy roles leading project teams – experience in manufacturing industries or another relevant business environment and a combination of consulting and corporate experience are preferred

Strong problem-solving skills, results-orientation, project management and communication skills

Enjoy collaborating closely across organisational boundaries and working with interdisciplinary teams

Fluent English, German is a plus
