Bids & Tenders Manager (f/m/d) for the DACH-region
based in Unterschleißheim, near Munich.
Your role at Baxter:
We currently have a great opportunity for you to join the Bids & Tenders Department. We are looking for an experienced and passionate manager to lead our German Contract team in the preparation of all Baxter tender responses, and management of contract and customer specific pricing on Baxter systems. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the preparation, submission, follow-up, fulfillment of obligations and maintenance of all types of commercial contracts, including offers and public tenders. You will provide a range of legal and commercial advice to internal stakeholders and liaison with external stakeholders on a range of tendering and contractual issues.
Your Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the Bids and Tenders Team in the production of responses, management of customer specific pricing, and dealing with all forms of tender and contract queries, from both internal and external stakeholders
- Coach and develop the Contracts Team in matters of tendering and contracting, to improve the service provided to all internal stakeholders in the efficient production of tender responses, maximizing tender opportunities and mitigating risks
- Provide support and advice to all business units in the preparation and submission of all tender responses
- Co-ordinate and construct responses for specific high value or strategically important GPOs, tenders, providing recommendations and advice on response content to relevant members of the Senior Management Team,
- Ensure the collection and analysis of competitive intelligence (i.e. prices, volumes, conditions) that may help increase success rate of tenders and offer and the legal department
- Review, initiate and follow-up on any legal aspects related to commercial contracts in collaboration with the commercial organization
- Write bespoke contract terms and conditions for specific projects, using knowledge and experience to mitigate risk for the business
- Development of systems and processes to optimize the efficient project management and production of tender submissions
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or Business Administration, a master's degree in Public Procurement would be a bonus
- 5-7 years of relevant experience managing public tender documentation, pricing and processes. Prior experience in Medical Device or Pharma environments is a plus.
- Experience in managing a small team of professionals
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic mindset that enjoys problem solving and seeking solution
- Fluency in English and German
