As a Cost Engineer in the field of power electronics and HV components for alternative drive technologies, you are responsible for cost optimization of highly innovative electrical and electronic components, taking into account commercial and technical aspects in an international working environment. Through cost evaluations and by contributing suggestions for cost optimization, you have the opportunity to actively drive the implementation of new technologies.

In your role in Cost Engineering, ensuring economically viable product projects, your new working environment will be diverse and interesting throughout the entire development process and the ongoing series of product line projects. Additionally, we offer you the opportunity to gain an overview of the technologies available on the market for alternative drive systems, so that emerging trends and developments can be considered together with the development teams in upcoming new product projects.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Exploring the Global Use of High-Pressure Die Casting (Giga-/Megacasting)
You'll research how and where this cutting-edge manufacturing technology is applied worldwide, focusing on large structural vehicle components.

Mapping Existing Giga-/Megacasting Equipment and Manufacturers
You'll identify key machine suppliers, analyze technical data sheets, and compile an overview of equipment locations and applications.

Evaluating Giga-/Megacasting Compared to Traditional Manufacturing Methods
You'll conduct a comparative analysis of Giga-/Megacasting versus conventional techniques such as stamping, extrusion, and welding—highlighting both advantages and challenges in terms of cost, efficiency, and sustainability.


THAT'S WHY YOU ARE A MATCH
  • Bachelor of Science or similar
  • Experiences with MS-Office
  • Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German
