Security Engineer*

Shape the Future of Secure Healthcare Technology — Are you passionate about software, cloud technology, and making a real impact? Join Tecan's Product and Cloud Security team in Global R&D and help us secure innovative, highly regulated IVDR devices and cloud solutions. Collaborate with talented colleagues across Europe and the globe — including software developers, architects, and compliance experts — to drive security excellence in healthcare.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve security SOPs, standards, and guidelines for our products and cloud solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks throughout the product lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Collaborate with R&D and software teams to ensure secure architecture and best practices are embedded in our solutions.
  • Support security automation and testing, including tool integration (SAST, DAST, SBOM) and vulnerability management.
  • Communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver engaging security training and awareness sessions for developers and stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product, cloud, or application security — ideally in a software or R&D environment.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial software development (C#,. NET, or web applications) is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with medical, industrial or automotive device security and standards (IEC 81001-5-1, IEC 62443) is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus.
  • Security certifications (CSSLP, CCSP, AZ-500, OSCP, GPEN) are an advantage.
