- Conduct day to day bookkeeping and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with [HGB and IFRS] and internal policies
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ensure accurate accounting for fixed assets, prepayments, intercompany transactions, etc
- Prepare local statutory reporting, tax filings, payroll etc, in compliance with local and international regulations
- Drive improvements and standardisation in accounting processes, controls, and documentation by collaborating with the segment and group finance teams
- Prepare / Assist with weekly cash flow forecast, budgeting, and variance analysis as needed
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support forecasting / financial reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support business initiatives
- Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Accounting, General Ledger, with some exposure to Controlling / Financial Analysis
- Experience in MS Office is required, with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Full business proficiency in English & German is a must
- Experience with ERP systems is needed, Oracle NetSuite knowledge is appreciated
- Knowledge of IFRS and HGB/German GAAP is a must
- Accurate, autonomous, and structured manner of work ethic
