Be part of a team of dedicated and passionate experts within the Group Risk & Special Projects department at E.ON SE. As a Group Risk Manager you navigate the dynamic landscape of risk management in an ever changing energy industry. You have the opportunity to proactively identify and mitigate risks and seize new opportunities across the organization. As a strategic partner, you play a crucial role in promoting a culture of risk awareness and driving decision-making processes that balance risk and reward, making a tangible impact on the organization's success.   • Preparing a holistic view of financials and associated risks and chances of E.ON Business Units, acting as trusted business partner and challenger, participating in Unit Risk Committees and working closely with the Business
  • Supporting the E.ON SE Management Board and the E.ON SE Risk Committee in decision making by preparing and advising on the overall risk exposure for financial mid-term plans and forecasts for the E.ON Group
  • Acting as a change advocate, rethinking and further improving current risk governance and processes for the E.ON Group jointly with Business Units and central transformation/change teams
  • Enabling and sharing of best-practices and information within the international Risk Community
  • Taking part in special projects, advancing E.ONs risk approach and developing scenario based risk assessments bringing risk management to the next level

In this role, you will get a good overview of the entire Group and its value creation stages and the associated opportunities and risks of the energy transition and work closely with many other departments. In addition, you can also make a difference and help shape things yourself.


A convincing Background

  • Excellent degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or similar field
  • Professional experience in Risk Management and/or Controlling, ideally including risk management for commodity businesses with its financial risks (e.g. market, credit, liquidity risks)
  • Work experience in change driven, dynamic environments (e.g. project work or similar) and sound business experience, preferably within the energy sector
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and present it in a clear and logical format that meets the user's needs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate on a management level
  • Ability to combine emotional and analytical Intelligence to build reliable relationships as well as network in the wider E.ON group
  • Positive mindset, willingness to rethink current approaches, strong can-do attitude
  • Self-starter attitude, lifelong learner, having fun to shape things and explore new paths
  • Fluency in English (German is a plus), other languages will be an advantage
