Job Description
The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in our fantastic HR Team as a Senior Payroll Team Lead supporting the preparation of an accurate and timely payroll They will be responsible for supporting the payroll team in providing professional and responsive payroll service within each country and provide legislative guidance to employees and the business for their specific jurisdictions.
The role is hybrid. 3 Days in the office and 2 days a week possibility of a remote home-office environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead payroll team (approx 10 team members)

Support Payroll Specialists in providing accurate and timely payrolls.

Ensure appropriate workload allocation, knowledge sharing and instill a culture of continuous improvement and outstanding customer service.

Ensure all payments and deductions are processed accurately and timely including salary sacrifice, benefits, pension and shares.

Ensure all employees are paid in accordance with the payroll schedule.

Support Payroll Specialists with reconciliation of all tax and social security deductions, ensuring they are filed and paid accurately and on time.

Manage and analyse our payroll data to ensure accuracy and provide key information to other teams in the business (eg. Finance).

Collate data from approved data submitters, ensuring it is duly authorised.

Check payroll integrations have been processed successfully by our Payroll Provider for starters, leavers, permanent/variable changes, and absence.

Manage our People Portal (ticketing system) and respond to payroll queries and escalations timely and in a way that aligns with our values.

Review output reports from payroll provider, ensuring all instructions have been correctly interpreted and processed 100% accurately.

Manage detailed payroll check lists and prepare for Manager review at submission, pre-approval, month end and quarter end stages.

Check accuracy of GL outputs and manage query resolution.

Actively participate in team meetings and training exercises.

Remain updated in payroll legislation and self develop through our Talent Development library.

Work with the Just Eat Takeaway people operations team, suppliers, and the benefits manager to support in delivering the annual benefits calendar.

Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and usage of systems.

Review, maintain and update benefits content on the company's internal communications sites and associated material.

Communicate with providers on a regular basis to ensure schemes are kept up to date.

Opportunities for development and involvement in broader Payroll activities.

Manage Service Delivery is up to agreed SLAs and within budget with our vendors.
What will you bring to the table?

Minimum of 6 years payroll management experience in a fast paced environment with team leading responsibilities

Min 10 years experience of local / international payroll and benefits administration.

High degree of PC literacy with advanced Excel (Pivots and VLookups).

Resilient, Diplomatic, Discreet, Confidential.

Min 10 years experience of local / international payroll and benefits administration.

Maintains an up to date knowledge of all payroll legislation.

High level of attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy skills.

Business level of English and German is essential,

Experience in dealing with Works Council and Unions where applicable
