The Start2 Group is searching for a Program Manager to execute startup programs in the Gateway Factory. This position requires an understanding of entrepreneurship, relevant project and program management experience, and strong communication skills.
- Manage the planning, development and execution of the startup programs in the Gateway Factory with topics including scaling, fundraising, and internationalization
- Design relevant program components (incl. workshops and speaker sessions) that translate market knowledge, technological trends, and global best practices into valuable learning experiences for startup founders
- Take responsibility as a key point of contact for the startups during their onboarding and participation in the program
- Cultivate and develop relationships with mentors, investors, and partners across national and international ecosystems
- Facilitate workshops and startups' meetings with mentors/partners/companies to understand their challenges
- Scout and engage with European startups and partners that are a fit for relevant programs
- Work collaboratively within the program team to ensure the smooth execution of the program, including pre-participation, participation, and graduation activities
- Synthesize the learnings of startups from the program and consolidate mentor feedback
- Leverage and utilize modern technology to reduce costs and increase efficiencies
- Support with business and product development as needed
- Deliver workshops and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Support the program team on event management and coordination as needed
- Help in managing databases and tracking program metrics to evaluate success and areas for improvement.
- Previous involvement with startup/innovation programs or related entrepreneurial services
- Past experience in a startup environment, with a core understanding of the challenges and opportunities of scaling a business
- A growing active network within the global startup and investment community, ready to leverage for program and startup advantage
- Approaches challenges in a proactive, innovative manner, combined with resilience and a deep passion for supporting startups and fostering global innovation
- Confidence in presenting to and engaging with external stakeholders
- Good team player and always willing to help out with additional tasks when required
- Willing to learn skills in cross-cultural communication and collaboration
- Passionate about supporting global startups with scaling, fundraising and expansion.
- Strong communication skills, able to work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds, geographics, and cultures.
- Manage the program's digital presence, including content creation and community engagement on social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable learning to use new software tools (e.g. Hubspot, Notion, ChatGPT).
- Top candidates hold a relevant degree in business administration, finance, or technical/scientific fields.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Ideal candidates are comfortable with conversational German in a business context.
- Able to travel up 10% of time (primarily Germany, ~5 to ~10 times annually)
