Our lab investigates how dysregulated gene expression programs contribute to the development and progression of cancer, with the goal of identifying new therapeutic vulnerabilities. We combine advanced CRISPR-based screening approaches with transcriptomic and proteomic profiling, using patient-derived cancer models to explore the molecular mechanisms that drive high-risk tumors. Your Role: Designing and conducting CRISPR-based genetic screens in cancer models Performing statistical analyses of epigenetic, transcriptomic and proteomic datasets Validating candidate genes and pathways in vitro and in vivo Contributing to the development of targeted therapeutic strategies ... your skills are what we're looking for Master's degree in life sciences or a related field Strong interest in discovering novel therapeutic approaches and understanding epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques (e.g., cloning, PCR, flow cytometry) Proficiency in bioinformatics and the analysis of high-throughput datasets (e.g., RNA-seq, proteomics) Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team Excellent communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required ... you'll be offered a lot The position (65% - E 13 ) is initially limited for 2 years with the possibility for extension Excellent scientific environment & dedicated mentoring Participation in training and qualification programs of the MSNZ and the Goethe University Training in novel cutting edge techniques to study epigenetic mechanisms in cancer Collaboration opportunities with national & international world-leading laboratories Free public transport in all Hessen (Free State Ticket Hessen) Uniklinik-Campus, Mensa, Cafés Insights: Instagram , YouTube , LinkedIn FAQ´s for new employees It's time to join our team!
