We are looking for you as a Buyer (m/f/d), located in Frankfurt, as soon as possible.
The Buyer manages a portfolio of local suppliers across multiple product categories, aligned with the company's purchasing strategy.
They work closely with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure the relevance of the product assortment, optimize commercial conditions, and achieve profitability goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Source, select, and contract with suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
- Coordinate with commercial teams to adapt the offer based on customer needs and market trends.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to secure supply and optimize flows.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of the local sourcing strategy.
Activity Overview
As MaxiCoffee expands its digital presence into new markets, the Buyer for Germany will play a pivotal role in shaping the local product portfolio. This involves strengthening relationships with local branches of existing suppliers and establishing partnerships with new suppliers that align with both market demands and commercial objectives.
Reporting directly to the Purchasing Director and operating within defined guidelines, the Buyer's core responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive market, supplier, and product analysis.
- Onboarding new suppliers and products, negotiating key terms (including pricing, delivery schedules, payment conditions, lead times, guarantees, etc.).
- Engaging with suppliers to negotiate prices and purchasing agreements.
- Continuously evaluating and optimizing commercial conditions.
- Monitoring supplier performance and category-specific KPIs.
- Overseeing all aspects of negotiation, including pricing, contractual terms, and promotional initiatives.
- Managing product databases efficiently.
- Coordinating with internal departments regarding supplier updates and changes.
- Supporting trade marketing negotiations.
- Facilitating the development of strategic partnerships.
The Buyer serves as the primary local contact for suppliers and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, logistics) dedicated to the German market, while maintaining close alignment with the central purchasing team to ensure consistency with company goals.
Across all responsibilities, the Buyer upholds MaxiCoffee's core values, fostering strong supplier relationships and seeking solutions that create value for customers, the company, and its partners.
