The Asian region with our 11 subsidiares and a strong dealer network in other Asian countries is a steadily growing market and of great importance to the group. The Regional Sales Director Asia (m/f/d) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving sales and business growth in Asia.

  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a com­pre­hen­sive sales stra­tegy and business plan specifi­cally for sur­face coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ments in the Asian mar­ket to achieve rev­e­nue and prof­ita­bil­ity tar­gets
  • Market Ana­lysis: Conduct thor­ough mar­ket re­search and ana­lysis to iden­tify po­ten­tial growth oppor­tu­ni­ties, in­dus­try trends, and the com­petitive land­scape with­in the sur­face coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ment sec­tor
  • Sales Team Man­age­ment: Lead and in­spire a team of sales pro­fes­sion­als (Gen­eral Man­a­gers) oper­at­ing across mul­tiple Asian coun­tries providing guid­ance, coach­ing, and sup­port to achieve sales tar­gets and objec­tives
  • Re­la­tion­ship Man­age­ment: Build and nurture strong re­la­tion­ships with key cus­tomers, dis­tri­bu­tors, and part­ners to ex­pand the com­pa­ny's mar­ket pres­ence and drive cus­tomer sat­is­faction in the surface coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ment do­main
  • Business De­vel­op­ment: Iden­tify and pur­sue new business oppor­tu­nities, stra­tegic part­ner­ships, and col­lab­o­ra­tions to en­hance mar­ket pen­e­tra­tion and rev­e­nue gen­er­a­tion spe­ci­fi­cally for sur­face coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ments
  • Sales Per­for­mance Mon­i­tor­ing: Con­tin­u­ous­ly mon­i­tor sales per­for­mance, analyze sales data, and provide reg­u­lar reports and updates to the Vice Pres­i­dent of Glob­al Sales and Ser­vice, high­light­ing key trends and op­por­tu­ni­ties
  • Fore­cast­ing and Bud­get­ing: Col­lab­o­rate with the Gen­eral Man­a­gers to de­vel­op ac­cu­rate sales fore­casts and bud­gets for sur­face coat­ing meas­ure­ment instru­ments, en­sur­ing align­ment with over­all company goals and objec­tives

  • Ex­per­tise: A suc­cess­ful track re­cord in sales lead­er­ship and busi­ness de­vel­op­ment with­in the capital in­vest­ment equip­ment in­dus­try, qual­i­ty as­sur­ance or measure­ment in­stru­ment in­dus­try, prefer­a­bly in an Asian context. The ba­sis for your broad ex­pe­ri­ence builds on a bach­e­lor's de­gree in en­gi­neer­ing, quality man­age­ment, optics or a re­lated field; an MBA or equiv­a­lent mas­ter is pre­ferred.
  • Passion: Strong lead­er­ship abil­i­ties to in­spire and mo­ti­vate a sales team, guid­ing them to achieve tar­gets and ob­jec­tives in the sur­face coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ment do­main.
  • Listen & Understand: Pro­fi­cien­cy in ana­lyz­ing sales data, mar­ket trends, and fi­nan­cial re­ports to make in­formed busi­ness de­ci­sions re­lat­ed to the prod­uct port­folio. Abil­i­ty to de­vel­op and im­ple­ment effec­tive sales stra­te­gies based on these find­ings, iden­tify un­tapped mar­ket op­por­tu­ni­ties, and drive busi­ness growth specifi­cally for sur­face coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ments.
  • Appreciation & Respect: Under­stand­ing of cul­tur­al nuances and abil­i­ty to inter­act re­spect­fully in dif­fer­ent cul­tur­al con­texts. This is based on your ex­perience work­ing in a global or inter­na­tional sales en­vi­ron­ment, with an under­standing of busi­ness prac­tices across Asia in machinery, elec­tronics, optics or the measure­ment instru­ment domain.
  • Trust & Commitment: Excep­tional rela­tion­ship manage­ment skills to es­tab­lish and nurture long-term part­ner­ships with cus­tomers, dis­tri­bu­tors, and oth­er key stake­hold­ers in the surface coat­ing meas­ure­ment in­stru­ment sec­tor. Your ex­cel­lent verbal and written com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Ger­man and Eng­lish en­a­ble effec­tive commu­nication with diverse stake­holders with­in the indus­try.
  • Willingness to Travel: Will­ing­ness to travel with­in Asia as required by busi­ness needs, speci­fi­cally to sup­port sales activ­ities re­lated to the pro­motion of the product port­folio.
