As Transportation Coordinator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the operational management of transportation activities across the EMEA region. Working closely with our Transport Management Systems and logistics team, you will ensure smooth and efficient transport execution. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to drive process reliability and continuous improvement.
The position will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hannover, Germany.
What you will do
As Transportation Coordinator (m/f/d), you will oversee the day-to-day coordination of transport operations within the EMEA region, with a strong focus on reliability and efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring truck availability and booking accuracy to ensure smooth transport flows
- Coordinating with the TMS provider to maintain reliable system performance
- Preparing forecasts for transportation demand by lane and monitoring capacity needs
- Tracking freight costs, demurrage, and surcharges to support cost control and transparency
- Contributing to the achievement of transportation budget targets
- Ensuring high-quality and accurate data entry within the TMS
- Managing pallet flows and inventory to support operational efficiency
- Participating in transportation-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the region
What makes you a good fit
- Commercial education or a degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in a logistics department, ideally within the automotive or a comparable industry
- Solid understanding of logistics processes and supply chain operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Business Warehouse applications
- Fluent in English, German language is a plus
