We are seeking to hire a Director of Business Development, who will have the responsibility to support Oxford's overall business development in Germany.
The position will help to plan, execute, and oversee local and regional sales while creating positive working relationships, promoting consistency, and coordinating logistics between Oxford's other offices across Europe.
The position will be responsible for hiring, supervising, and organizing our German sales team, while managing organizational sales to take advantage of Oxford's large German client portfolio, many of whom are Fortune 1,000 companies, which Oxford currently services today from its other (non-German) European locations.
The position will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of the team's salespeople according to Oxford's guidelines.
The Role…
- Be a positive, professional, client-facing presence, representing Oxford Germany with our clients across the country.
- Manage, motivate and grow an on-site team of account managers.
- Meet or exceed personal production goals and office sales, business plans, operating and production budgets by hiring, training, and managing the account management staff
- Support and encourage the progression of staff through staff development programs.
- Strategize the business development plan to meet district and site financial targets.
- Discuss sales, negotiation, and networking techniques; observe employees and provide feedback; ensure the group's identification and understanding of market trends.
- Partner with directors in other European countries to develop their German client portfolio though local knowledge.
- Review and develop account strategies; accompanying Account Managers to client visits; review individual databases, direct business development activities, and address any issues related to quality.
- Build, develop, and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
- Communicate, support, and ensure the proper implementation of the Oxford
- Production Model and processes, as well as corporate policies, standards, and programs
- Stay informed on market trends and keep up on critical skills within all Germany focused disciplines.
You…
- Strong Staffing Industry experience is must have, with a high level of understanding of the staffing / services market.
- Previous experience and demonstrated success leading a sales team, as well as hands on sales experience in a quota carrying role.
- A passion for client-facing interaction (virtual & in-person) with the ability to land new business, and to further develop existing opportunities with our German & European customers.
- A motivated, positive, energetic leader with experience in building, developing and coaching team members to success and creating a culture of positivity and winning together.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills - fluency in business level German and English required (other European languages a plus).
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in planning and executing winning client strategies.
- Strong ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Creative, outgoing, energetic people-person with a demonstrable track record of exceeding goals.
- Working understanding of German Labour Leasing, i.e., ANUE and AUEG
- Proven knowledge of MS Office products, CRM, and other software tools
- Ability to periodically travel to other Client Sites & other Oxford Offices.
