We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (m/w/d) to join our dynamic Business Development Team in Ludwigsfelde (near Berlin). In this role, you will Identify and acquire new customers by proactively exploring untapped markets, building networks, and creating opportunities that align with the company's growth strategy. You position the company's solutions effectively by understanding customer challenges and aligning offerings to create value and competitive advantage.
- Proactively identify and engage new business prospects in targeted markets and segments
- Qualify leads and opportunities, guiding them through the early stages of the sales cycle in close coordination with Product teams
- Conduct customer needs analyses and present tailored value propositions, aligning with technical and commercial requirements
- Monitor and analyze market developments, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform market-entry strategies
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to build brand awareness and generate interest
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate lead and opportunity information
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support proposal development, pre-sales activities, and capture plans
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on pipeline status, business opportunities, and strategic prospects
- University degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- Profound experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles, ideally in technical environment (e.g., battery, Bus/Truck segment, or other industries)
- Proven success in identifying new business opportunities and converting leads into qualified prospects with focus on fast-track realizations
- Ability to understand and translate technical solutions into customer value with a high degree of initiative and drive to succeed
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel frequently, including international travel (approx. 30–40%).
- Fluent in English, additional language skills are an asset
