The Global Account Manager Contract Logistics is focused on managing and developing strong relationships with new key customers with the ultimate target to make sure HWL Contract Logistics is considered for selected upcoming CL tender globally and to win such new business opportunities. The success of the role is driven by significantly increasing & converting new business pipeline for Contract Logistics in APAC, Americas and IMEA region. Strong collaboration with the larger Hellmann Sales Organization to unlock potential from existing Air Freight / Sea Freight or Road customers.

  • Developing targeted global Contract Logistics (CL) accounts and developing and maintaining strong relationships with them for a long-term success
  • Strategically develops global CL customers by knowing their business needs and orchestrating tailored and complex solutions during tender phases
  • Manages global - and, if needed regional and local – CL customer acquisitions and negotiates sales terms and contracts
  • Generates CL tender leads predominantly for the Americas, Asia Pacific and IMEA regions and supports timely delivery of compelling and value generating proposals
  • Actively collaborates with the CL product regarding individual product design for customers, pricing, tenders and customer service
  • Records sales data and maintains customer database in the CRM system and provides frequent updates of any tender opportunities to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Executes sales strategies, initiatives and processes provided by global/regional/country sales leadership team
  • Adheres to sales + contract logistics policies and procedures and complies with relevant regulations
  • Create and maintain a clear RFQ schedule with targeted opportunities to ensure we are active in all relevant geographies and verticals

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Logistics, or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in Contract Logistics focusing on major global accounts
  • Comprehensive expertise in Contract Logistics
  • Good knowledge in serving complex customer needs and in stakeholder management
  • Extensive international experience
  • Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and a structured working style
  • Digital affinity with a keen interest in leveraging technology to drive business growth and innovation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • High willingness to travel worldwide
