The private and independent Hamburgische Schiffbau-Versuchsanstalt GmbH based in Hamburg is a service and consulting company for customers from the maritime industry worldwide. Our products contribute to a more environmentally friendly, sustainable use of the marine environment. We help to reduce emissions from shipping and increase maritime safety.   • Main point of contact for customers in the field of ship technology
  • Technical coordination and oversight of the SHIPS division
  • Acquisition of new projects and development of new customer segments
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with national and international customers
  • Further development and bundling of expertise within HSVA
  • Supervision of specialist teams and professional support for projects
  • Development of HSVA's portfolio and coordination of related innovation capacity
  • Strategic development and implementation of new business areas
  • Representation of the expertise in national and international committees and at specialist events
  • Organization of related acquisition activities
  • Conception and initiative for innovation and R&D projects
  • Collaboration on strategic and operational resource planning

  • Completed studies, preferably in the field of naval architecture/ship technology with a doctorate
  • Several years of experience in customer service and experience in working with customers from diverse cultural backrounds
  • Familiarity with the working methods of ship model basins and the associated markets
  • Proven experience in project acquisition
  • Several years of professional experience in the shipbuilding industry
  • A precise, detail oriented approach and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Proven team spirit attitude, reliability, adaptability in dynamic project environments and strong communication skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, coupled with an independent and structured way of working
  • Fluent German and excellent written and spoken English
  • Confident and professional demeanor
  • Very good IT skills
