What you will do:

As working student, you will play a functional and technical support role in the daily work conducted by the CAT GIS/ R&D/ Portfolio Analytics Teams in the natural catastrophe management unit of Allianz SE

This role will mainly revolve around functional and technical support with our internal model for natural catastrophe risks

Your tasks will include the support of the development and performance of risk capital calculations and accumulation management, strengthening data quality and data visualization. Furthermore, you will support the process of testing of hazard layers and Cat model as well as (geospatial) data validations, cleansing and analytics. Additionally, you will assist in ad-hoc requests around such topics.


What you bring:

  • Master student in mathematics, physics or natural sciences
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and statistical skill set
  • Strong data analysis and programming skills in high level and scripting languages
  • Understanding of basic insurance terms is a plus
  • Carefully and diligently completes their duties and quickly grasps complex topics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German as a plus
