As part of a team of seven bioinformaticians, you will support various bioinformatics projects in the area of biomedical research.

Your tasks:

  • analysis of various “omics” data (in particular from the fields of genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and proteomics)
  • automation of analysis processes

This position is to be filled on a temporary basis as a parental leave replacement as well as due to third-party funding and initially limited until August 31st 2027. Part-time options are possible.


  • Academic degree in bioinformatics, biostatistics or a related field of study
  • Solid knowledge in the field of sequence data analysis or scientific workflow systems
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language
  • Good command of Linux
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Commitment, coordination and organizational skills, quick comprehension, independence, ability to work in a team and good communication skills
  • Knowledge of statistics, machine learning, containers and computer clusters is an advantage
