Our Semiconductor Division in Ratingen is looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer – Automotive Power Semiconductor / eMobility (m/f/d).
Mitsubishi Electric is a world-leading manufacturer of power semiconductor devices (power modules and power chips). For the technical marketing team “Automotive Power Semiconductors” in Mitsubishi Electric European Headquarters, we are looking for a competent and experienced technical marketing engineer for expanding our business in applications like xEV Powertrain and xEV accessories (e.g. e-compressors and onboard battery chargers).
- Drive and win technical design-in activities with dedicated customers in cooperation with sales and preparation of such activities with promotion tools, campaigns, sample management, etc.
- Explore, develop, and win new key business opportunities at existing and new automotive customers
- Obtain and negotiate technical and quality requirements during the RFI / RFQ process and manage these requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitoring and communicating Europe's power semiconductors market-technology trends to Japan, including competition analysis
- Proactive proposals in the form of product development requests to optimize product line-up and next-generation development by latest market / technology trends as well as the definition of a roadmap
- Technical service for customers and other activities such as publications, management of technical databases, handling of quality-related processes (PPAP, PCN, RMA, audits, etc.) and compliance checks (export control, ISO, IATF 16949, etc.)
- Product / technical trainings, e.g. for customers and sales channels
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (or similar professional discipline) and five or more years of work experience; automotive quality requirements background and experience is a plus
- Self-driven proactive approach to customer-oriented business development with strong stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of electrical power conversion and inverter systems (motor control, automotive xEV Powertrain, and the xEV accessorie, s e.g. e‑compressors and onboard battery chargers) covering power ranges of a few kilowatts to hundreds of kilowatts
- Knowledge of IGBT / SiC power devices' performance and qualification requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills having the ability to lead and drive projects in an organized team-work and systematic approach
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and to anticipate customer needs
- Excellent communication and technical presentation skills in German and English language and willingness to frequently travel within Germany and Europe
