Your Mission
As a Senior Azure/M365 Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365) environments, focusing on identity management, security, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will oversee processes related to Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), application integrations, and IT service management while supporting automation and governance initiatives. As a key contributor, you will work on both conceptual frameworks and hands-on implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish secure, efficient and compliant cloud-based solutions.
Your Tasks:
- Manage and Optimize Microsoft Entra ID: Implement secure identity solutions (SSO, MFA, conditional access) and support lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, access reviews).
- Configure, Manage, and Improve Security Policies: Ensure compliance with internal and external standards for Azure/Entra and M365 environments.
- Automate Operational Processes: Automate provisioning and monitoring for Azure/M365, support ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management, and enhance IT processes using tools like PowerShell and Azure Logic Apps.
- Administer and Optimize Azure and M365 Services: Ensure high availability and reliability through performance monitoring and issue resolution while providing advanced technical support and escalation handling.
Collaborate and Support: Work with cross-functional teams to implement secure solutions, provide training and documentation for IT teams and end-users, and support Azure and M365 projects aligned with business objectives.
- Experience: Substantial experience in a comparable role, demonstrating a track record of success in managing IT environments.
- Technical Skills: Azure Active Directory and M365 Management:
Proven experience in planning, designing, and managing Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) and M365 environments, ensuring optimal performance and security. Proficiency in IT automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Azure Logic Apps to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. - Security and Compliance Expertise: Expertise in implementing and managing security and compliance features within the Azure and M365 ecosystems, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards.
- IT Service Management Frameworks: Familiarity with IT service management frameworks like ITIL, and experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management to support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Team-Oriented and Collaborative: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, with a proactive approach to driving improvements and fostering a positive team environment. Open, clear and appreciative communication style.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is helpful
