Vice President FP&A – Group Finance
Join Bauer Media Group as our next Vice President of FP&A, a pivotal role with Group-wide responsibility for driving financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision support. Reporting to the Deputy Group CFO, you will work closely with senior executives to shape the financial strategy that powers decision-making across the organization.
You'll lead a high-impact team of 15, overseeing all aspects of Group FP&A including company-wide financial planning and performance management, finance business partnering for Corporate Center functions, and BI at the Group
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the design and delivery of Group-wide financial planning (budgets, rolling forecasts, long-term strategic plans), ensuring alignment with companywide financial and strategic priorities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Group CFO, Deputy CFO, and other senior executives of the board, providing financial guidance and actionable insights that drive performance improvement and delivery against set business initiatives
- Key contributor the Group FP&A operating model, including process design, policies, and planning cycles across Bauer Media Group
- Drive data initiatives and improvements to enable executive-level reporting for the Board and shareholders, including management dashboards and KPIs
- Lead finance business partnering for Corporate Functions (P&L > €100m), ensuring strong financial oversight and contributing to operating model transformation initiatives
- Contribute to and lead elements of finance transformation, including system adoption, enablement (SAP S4 Hana / SAP Analytics Cloud) and process modernization
What You Bring
- 10+ years' experience in senior finance leadership, with significant exposure to FP&A at the group or corporate level in complex, or multinational organizations
- A proven ability to operate at the executive level, influencing senior leaders and board stakeholders with clarity and authority
- Expertise in financial strategy, planning processes, performance management, and capital allocation
- Track record in leading high-performing teams, developing talent, and managing across geographies or matrix structures
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and tools (SAP, Power BI, planning systems), and experience driving finance transformation programs
- A relevant degree and professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, CIMA)
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
