With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world's largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world's leading liner shipping companies. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.


  • Responsible for the Management of selected Global Accounts within the NVO program (GNP)
  • Responsible for customer performance
  • Define volume targets in close cooperation with the GNP Teams in the Regions
  • Close alignment on trade & customer strategy with internal key stakeholders, such Trade Management, Regions, Areas, Cargo Control Center
  • Setting annual customer strategy in close alignment with Regional Account Managers
  • Monitor and drive customer performance, as well as company objectives in line with company strategy
  • Build up close relationship to customer point of entries to ensure Hapag-Lloyd strategy is met
  • Monitor business segmentation throughout the year in line with HL trade strategy and take corrective actions if required
  • Serve as a key escalation point for our customers
  • Perform regular customer QBR's/negotiation meetings. This may include travel both regionally and globally
  • Understand our customer business model, needs and requirements
  • Overall responsibility for the usage of opportunity related tools, such as pipeline, Book of Business
  • Ensure sufficient opportunities are captured to meet annual customer volume target
  • Actively drive Push & Pull Interactions with Regional GNP Teams
  • Follow up on CES result for the customers in the portfolio
  • Participation in projects

  • Relevant professional experience in a comparable commercial position
  • Proven sales ability and negotiation experiences
  • Proven leadership skills and track record of leading and motivating a team
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities, as well as good problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience with CRM Salesforce preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS TEAMS
  • Knowledge of Hapag-Lloyd systems
  • Good communication skills and fluent in both verbal and written English (German and French are a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to recognize and attend to multiple facets in issues and problems, as well as to come up with creative solutions to solve problems
  • Receptive and able to grasp new ideas and motivation for self-development
