Join our Data Management and Data Governance team. Our unit is responsible for digitalization within the research & development for crop protection at a global level. You establish governance processes in knowledge management for projects and divisions, create guidelines with technical experts, and make decisions to implement agreements while consulting with the responsible manager.

  • You will be responsible for managing the documents, processes, and systems associated with document submission and storage, including overseeing the document lifecycle and promoting document digitization.
  • You identify and address gaps in the digital landscape related to documents and other forms of knowledge, enhancing the searchability of all knowledge assets within the organization.
  • Furthermore, you advise internal teams on knowledge management by identifying the needs of researchers, translating these into knowledge management solutions, and serving as a bridge between business and digital teams, all while exercising a high degree of autonomy.
  • You participate in establishing document analysis workflows for extracting and annotating data and integrating them into the digital landscape using state-of-the-art technologies, such as large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems.
  • In addition, you stay updated on the latest developments in knowledge management and governance, actively participate in professional communities within BASF, and create guidelines and other documentation.

  • education in the natural sciences field
  • familiarity with knowledge or/and data management and governance principles, along with skills in using document management and search systems
  • proficiency in writing and templating scientific documents
  • ability to train both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • strong proficiency in English and German, with excellent communication skills
