As a strategic buyer, you are responsible for the development and implementation of supplier strategies for a product category or country
You act as a central and Europe-wide contact person for all supplier-related topics
You are responsible for the strategic development of international supply sources and the optimization of the entire value chain from production to market
You actively contribute to the company's success by working together with suppliers on long-term goals and constantly optimizing the Total cost of Ownership (TCO) and conditions
In your role as a buyer, you will also be responsible for market and supplier analyses in your product category using KPIs
You have commercial training, a university degree or a comparable qualification for the role of Brands Buyer
You have several years of professional experience in a comparable position in strategic purchasing or category management - ideally in the retail/FMCG environment or in the pet supplies industry
An analytical and strategic way of thinking as well as the ability to maintain an overview even in complex situations and to work in a solution-oriented manner characterize you
Your strengths as a buyer include a good understanding of processes and an end-to-end mindset
You are business fluent in written and spoken in English and Flemish/Dutch, and ideally also have very good language skills in German and/or French
