Your mission
- Join our Edge Compute development team in their daily work.
- Maintain and further develop our Edge Compute application (gateway software for industrial machines) in Python 3.
- Improve the test coverage with a focus on integration tests using the Robot Framework.
- Collaborate in an agile team using agile methodologies.
Required qualifications:
- Enrolled student (bachelor or master) at a German university in computer science or a comparable study program (e.g., Machine Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering).
- Knowledge of Python 3 and OOP.
- Experience in using Git as your version control.
- Basic understanding of docker or docker-compose.
- Fluent English communication skills, verbal and written (German is a plus).
- Responsible team player with a structured way of working.
- Curious, eager to learn, and always up for a challenge.
- Experience in writing automated tests or using testing frameworks, preferably Robot Framework.
- Experience in working with CI pipelines, preferably Gitlab pipelines.
- Experience in using Portainer.
- Knowledge of REST API-Services.
- Knowledge of SQLite 3, InfluxDB, or any other SQL.
- Interest in tinkering with sensor hardware, PLCs, and other industrial equipment.
