- You develop sophisticated features and services based on current Java 21 technologies for our news portal and our internal microservices.
- You identify potentials for optimization in terms of quality, performance and maintainability together with your team.
- You test your code supported by our continuous integration and delivery setup with high degree of automation and by this receive quick feedback on whether your code lives up to its promises or breaks the pipeline.
- You pick up current trends and technologies and share your knowledge with your colleagues in regular brown bag sessions or slack days.
Do you have a technical degree such as computer science or a comparable qualification? Would you like to become part of an agile web development team and develop new features for our news portal and our internal microservices using AI, for example, as a Java developer? - You have a good knowledge of Java web technologies and corresponding frameworks (Freemarker, Servlet API, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, ElasticSearch, Solr, Maven) as well as basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- You have work experience with Linux as development and server environment for a Tomcat/Apache stack as well as first experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- You know how to write “clean code” with good performance and how quality and performance can be tested automatically utilizing tools (Junit 5, Selenium, JMeter).
- Ideally you already have first experience with CMS, Continuous Delivery, REST, Python and GitLab CI.
- You like to take on responsibility, like to deal with new topics such as data science, AI, security or DevOps as part of your own development, and a good team spirit is important to you.
