Logistics Operations Manager (m/f/x) – Music Instruments Industry


  • Team Leadership: Lead and empower a dedicated team of about 60 logistics and warehouse professionals to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
  • Enablement: Act as a facilitator to get the company's requirements adopted and delivered by partners, to cascade management requirements to team members, and to meet internal and external customers' expectations.
  • Operational Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to streamline receiving, storage, picking/packing, shipping, and delivery processes.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and optimize stock types to minimize excess and slow-moving items.
  • Technology Implementation: Drive the development and implementation of logistics-related processes using SAP S/4HANA.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales divisions to support new business directions and optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to AEO regulations, internal compliance programs, and export control policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the European storage and distribution structure.

  • Essential Qualification: Master's degree or comparable in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field as well as experience in logistics operations management in an international context.
  • IT Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems; knowledge of using SAP S/4HANA desirable.
  • Proven Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and developing logistics teams along with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong background in logistics operations management.
  • Strategic Responsibility: An interest in aligning logistics strategies with business objectives.
  • International Perspective: Willingness to navigate cultural and operational challenges in a multinational environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Familiarity with utilizing data-driven insights to optimize processes and make informed decisions.
