We are now looking for an experienced Process/ Project Engineer, Industry & Water (all genders) for our 2 coagulant manufacturing sites in Dormagen and Rheinberg (North Rine Westphalia, Germany). The position will be based in Dormagen (near Cologne) and requires regular business travels to Rheinberg.

Location Details: Position requires weekly on-site visits to Dormagen and Rheinberg


  • Preparation, planning, and execution of CapEx projects
  • Projects include: process optimizations, capacity expansions, realization of cost savings and safety improvements
  • Close collaboration with on-site teams and other relevant departments (Engineering and Technology, EHSQ, etc.)
  • Management and control of external engineering and service providers
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Ensure that requirements, specifications, safety and quality standards are met
  • Ensure safe and smooth transition with minimal disruption of operations
  • Maintain project documentation and records
  • Coordinate management of change process (MOC)
  • Take an active role in plant-related EHSQ requirements to meet EHSQ standards
  • Trouble shoot production problems
  • Participate in process hazard analysis (PHA) and risk assessments

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar educational background
  • Experience in project management and project engineering (> 3 years)
  • Preferably experience in the chemical and/or process industry
  • Very good analytical as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of technical and safety regulations, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Good user knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, CAD/CAE-Tools and SAP
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Dormagen and Rheinberg
