For our Business Unit Railcar Europe in Hamburg we are looking for you as Commercial Data Steward (d/f/m) as soon as possible.

In this role, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of relevant pricing and commercial data. You will ensure the quality of data and the observance of the proper standards for the collection, processing and organization of data. You will organize data and help solve data-related issues by managing data corruption or mapping data between programs.


  • Create processes that allow employees (d/f/m) to interact with the data, e.g., enabling them to collect data, to enter them into databases and to share data
  • Create and enforce rules and regulations to make data usable to stakeholders (d/f/m)
  • Maintain data and help remove duplications and imperfections
  • Monitor data usage to prevent data breaches
  • Understanding which departments records data
  • Use feedback and questions to help create systems for maintaining high quality data
  • Make recommendations to management and provide them with information necessary to predict trends and make more informed decisions

  • Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Business, IT, Computer Science)
  • In-depth understanding of database structures and proven experience in working with data models and warehousing concepts
  • Understanding of the needs of each department within a company
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication and documentation expertise
  • Attention to detail and the competence to work with complex data sets
  • Skills in programming languages is a plus
  • Strategic and analytic understanding with an interest in data-driven methods
  • Self-motivation and an independent working style
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Competence to handle changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Business orientation and an understanding of market dynamics
  • Very good knowledge of English required, knowledge of German would be an advantage
