Seated in the Global Service Engineering, we use state-of-the-art methods and tools to diagnose and prognose condition of our global wind turbine fleet.
YOUR TASKS
- Being one of the technical leads to monitor the global fleet
- Create detailed reports for specific customers (Service organisation or turbine owner).
- Improving existing algorithms and developing new ones for more precise and reliable failure prediction.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the teams analysis and reporting.
- Mentoring and coaching team members.
- Providing specialised training to internal and external customers.
- Event based reporting to local service organisation with actionable recommendations.
- Following up and updating reported failures according to severity of the failure.
- Supporting local service organisation for taking decisions of condition based repairs.
Ideally you should have a degree in mechanical/software engineering or equivalent. Furthermore, we expect you to:
- Have at least five years of experience in condition monitoring and are a certified vibration analyst ISO CAT III or higher.
- Possess strong knowledge and characteristics of vibration analysis.
- Have capabilities of signal processing and acoustics.
- Have knowledge with operational aspects and procedures concerning diagnostics and analyses.
- Possess knowledge of other condition monitoring methodologies and technologies and how they can be applied to rotating equipment.
- Feel comfortable working in an English-speaking environment (strong written and verbal skills in English needed).
- Comfortable in presenting technical topics to large audience members.
- Possess strong mechanical knowledge of rotating equipment.
- Have worked previously with planetary stage gearboxes and drive trains with slow rotating journal bearings.
