Our tasks include the integration of millions of daily clickstream events and backend data from over 100 Otto Group e-commerce stores as well as the design and operation of efficient data pipelines. The "Cloud Services and Governance" team is responsible for the security of the data collected. Using a security monitoring solution developed in-house, it can identify critical vulnerabilities in a multi-cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, GitHub) in real time.

Tech stack:
- Golang, SQL (PostgreSQL), Google Cloud Platform, Vue & Typescript, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub

- We want to significantly increase the usability and impact of our data platform for real-time and batch processing in the Group - with your support!
- Development and improvement of software systems with a special focus on data-driven backend applications, using modern technologies such as Golang and cloud-native databases is also part of your area of responsibility.
- Last but not least, you will gain a deep insight into the day-to-day business of the Business Intelligence department and the implementation of big data strategies in a large corporation.
- You have extensive expertise in programming with Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- You have some experience with relational databases, e.g. MySQL, PostgeSQL or SQLite.
- You have a degree in (business) informatics, physics or a comparable subject with a strong IT focus.
- You have excellent conceptual skills, are quick on the uptake and enjoy working in a team.
- You are an enrolled student* in a degree program with focus on computer science and can support us from 15.05.2024 for at least 1 years for 15-20 hours per week.
- Language level: German B2 (independent use of language) and English B2 (independent use of language).
Nice-to-have:
- You have initial experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- You are familiar with various BigData technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, BigQuery, Redshift and more
- You have first experience with versioning (Git).
