What can no smartphone be without? That's right, a microchip – the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system. Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.

  • Support the further development of the ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (SMT) strategy, i.e. prepare and accompany the strategic planning process

  • You will take on the project management of projects with strategic relevance in all areas of the ZEISS SMT division

  • You will continue to develop the SMT-G department's core strategy toolbox, with your expert knowledge

  • You advise and train the operational SMT units on very complex (strategic) issues

  • You act as an interface to the corporate areas and to external consultants as well as to other areas of ZEISS AG


  • You have a degree in Physics, or alternatively in Engineering Science, Industrial Engineering; Additionally, a Doctorate or top-tier MBA is desirable

  • You should have relevant professional experience working in a management consulting firm, with a project focus in the areas of strategy and operations

  • You have above-average analysis and problem-solving skills, as well as planning and organizational skills

  • You are quick-witted, solution orientated, with a high level of resilience and the ability to think in a networked manner

  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • You have excellent communication and team skills, as well as a confident and positive appearance, with fluent German and English business skills
